If the shoe fits wear it Leftists!!

Fascism is a very unique form of government. There's little doubt about that but some of the characteristics of it can be seen on both sides or solely to the left. One of the most mentioned characteristics of Fascism is nationalistic pride. When they say that this is an example of Fascism they are saying people like George Washington and any of the other Founding Fathers are Fascist. Being a Patriot and having pride in your country isn't truly being Fascist. 

There is then the issue of the state, in Fascism the state rules all, while it allows the free market to flourish to some degrees in the end the state dictates what's done and when. An example would be if you owned a factory. You may OWN the factory, but you will be told by the state what to produce, how many units, costs, and wages to be paid, for the benefit of the country.  When the people aren't individuals anymore but a part of a all knowing all powerful government who imposes its will on a people, its left. Extreme right is anarchy, total freedom and no government.

Finally, when fascism was on the rise throughout Europe, it was the ideology of young liberals, based on bold new ideas like eugenics that conservatives shunned. Academia in America was paying attention to Europe, like today, were echoing many of the same sentiments here. Put simply, most of the -ism's are collectivist big-government anti-individual political systems, pure and simple. 


If conservatives on the right belief that everyone is endowed with inalienable rights and and that those rights are given by the Creator, not by some all powerful government.....

If in general the left is defined by more government and the right is defined by less government......

Then it makes no sense to say the right-wing is the proper home of Fascism.  American leftists and progressives, like stealing the word Liberal, simply changed the definition of Fascism to paint their political enemies in a bad light after World War II when they saw the reactions to the horrors of Nazi Germany and the concentration camps. Much like they say the GOP and Democrats switched parties sometime in the mid 20th century. Leftists saying it does not make it so. 


When the "Antifa" thugs we have seen riot in their "peaceful" protests claim to be out to shutdown fascists from speaking. They seem to be in more ways than one like the brownshirts of Germany during Hitler's time. They and all their ilk claim that President Trump and anyone that agrees with him or supports him are fascists. These rioters are the real fascists and they reside to the left of center.
